Do not rely on Redline output as the sole basis for any fire or life safety design, installation, submittal, inspection, commissioning, maintenance, emergency response, or code-compliance decision.
1. Software tool only
Redline is a drafting and calculation aid. It does not provide engineering, architectural, legal, code-consulting, plan-review, inspection, certification, or other professional services. Use of Redline does not create a professional-client, fiduciary, or advisory relationship with T2X.
2. Outputs may be incomplete or wrong
Project data, device values, calculations, symbols, diagrams, labels, files, and exports may contain errors, omissions, outdated information, software defects, rounding differences, formatting problems, or incorrect assumptions. Imported or user-entered data may also be inaccurate. Features may not account for every product limitation, site condition, circuit characteristic, compatibility requirement, code provision, amendment, interpretation, or manufacturer instruction.
3. Your required review
Before any real-world use, you must independently check all inputs and outputs against original manufacturer documentation, listed product data, current adopted codes and standards, contract documents, field conditions, and requirements of the authority having jurisdiction. Reperform critical calculations using an independent method. Obtain review, sealing, approval, testing, and inspection by appropriately licensed or qualified professionals whenever required.
4. Codes and approvals vary
Codes, standards, listings, product specifications, and local interpretations change and vary by jurisdiction. Redline does not represent that any output complies with NFPA standards, building or fire codes, accessibility requirements, product listings, local amendments, project specifications, or an authority having jurisdiction. Acceptance of any drawing or calculation is determined by the responsible professionals and applicable authorities—not by Redline or T2X.
5. No safety-critical reliance
Redline is not a fire alarm control unit, supervising station, notification appliance, emergency communications system, monitoring service, or other safety system. It must not be used to monitor hazards, dispatch emergency response, control equipment, or replace required testing, inspection, maintenance, documentation, or human oversight.
6. Assumption of risk
You control what information is entered, how outputs are interpreted, and whether they are used. You assume all risk arising from use of Redline and remain responsible for the adequacy, accuracy, legality, and safety of your work product. If you are not qualified to evaluate an output, do not use it until it has been reviewed by someone who is.
7. No warranties; limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Redline and all outputs are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of accuracy, completeness, reliability, code compliance, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. T2X and its owners, affiliates, personnel, suppliers, and licensors are not liable for losses, claims, delays, rework, rejected submissions, equipment failure, property damage, injury, death, or other consequences caused by or related to use of, inability to use, or reliance on Redline or its outputs.
8. Agreement
By using Redline, you acknowledge these limitations and agree to the Terms of Use. If you do not accept them, do not use Redline.
